Rachyl + Joel//Espresso Love and the Art of Relationships
-
We have a unique shoot to share with you today, it is especially near and dear to my heart since I {Kris} was a barista with Starbucks in Lake Mary for over 6 years. I’ve witnessed first hand the beauty of properly poured espresso and the great effect it can have not only on people but relationships. I am a bit of a snob when it comes to espresso and Flytta has hands down the best in town. Yes, I know that is an audacious statement and I just went there. And don’t get me started on their iced coffee… ; ) A quasi-close second is any drink at the Lake Mary Starbucks made by the one and only Starbucks veteran barista, Cheryl Arnold.
My favorite thing about coffee and espresso is it’s ability to unite people.
It is a beautifully spoken universal language transcending culture, race, social class and religious tensions.
My second favorite thing about coffee is watching people who are in love that appreciate the art of coffee. These aren’t the people that you see in the drive thru lane at Dunkin Donuts tapping their steeling wheel impatiently. Rather these are the people sitting at Starbucks letting the aroma of a dark roast wave over them and sipping their latte like it is a thing to be treasured, savoring the moment as they gaze into the eyes of their lover drinking deep from the fountain of love.
Let me introduce my friends, Rachyl and Joel Johnson of Flytta Espresso to you. They understand the art of espresso.
They have experienced coffee, the depths of espresso, love and laughter together and I’m delighted to share their heart warming pictures with you our friends today.

He was my cream, and I was his coffee -
And when you poured us together, it was something.
~Josephine Baker
I love this picture of Rachyl because it symbolically shows what you feel when you are in her presence. Always stylish, you can immediate sense that she is a wonderfully complex old soul who has spent much time looking toward the future with her heart exposed to the light. As a result she reflects this light and shines brightly bringing joy, love and warmth to those around her.

Old book + great coffee=exhale

^ Love this one. ^

There truly is an art to making a great shot of espresso, Joel has the passion and patience it requires.

Isn’t she beautiful?

Ever stylin.

Can you tell they love each other and what they do?

Good times.

“Coffee and love are best when they are hot.” Do you agree?

Much love,
Kate + Kris
