Jeanne & Chas // When UGA met UF and Fell in Love

  • Meet Jeanne & Chas, a lovely couple with equal heart and style who we are so thankful to have met.  They brightened our day and stole a special place in our hearts after spending a beautiful morning together on Park Avenue.  For many couples Park Avenue is a pretty place to take pictures but for Jeanne & Chas it is the setting and backdrop of their love story.

First Date: Dexters, Winter Park.  Proposal where Chas asked Jeanne to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife: Rose Garden, Park Avenue. Favorite Saturday morning activity: Stroll through the Winter Park Farmers Market with their beautiful American Brittany dog Beaux.  Are you noticing a theme here?

With that kind of connection to Park Ave we were not shocked to discover that there was a special surprise awaiting.

What? Did you think we were going to tell you? Well then it wouldn’t be a surprise, just keep reading and you’ll see what all the fuss was about.  : )

With luscious and golden light, fall was making its debut in Central Florida and we were glad to welcome it on such a beautiful morning.

These lovebirds are not shy & were quick to rock it in front of our cameras ;)

Jeanne’s body language here ^ says it all. Love this image!

Jeanne brought along all of the fixings for a beautiful picnic, with fresh lemons & pink lemonade ;)

Pink lemonade was perfect to combine with the nearby flamingos :)  Yes, you read that right. In honor of breast cancer month Park Avenue was decorated with literally hundreds of pink flamingos.  While we tried to convince Jeanne and Chas that we had done it for their session to add some flair and compliment the pink lemonade they weren’t buying it.

We absolutely LOVE working with couples that are willing to try our crazy ideas!

The picnic that Jeanne planned was full of exquisite details.  A picnic basket shipped with love by her Aunt in DC.  And not just any picnic basket but one that her Mother had bought as a present for her Aunt years ago. An old tablecloth from her great grandmother and beautiful crystal and silver.  No doubt Jeanne’s wedding will be exquisite as she has mastered the art of the little touches that make all the difference.

Can’t you just feel the love when you look at them?

Now here is where the story gets interesting.  Love does truly conquer all.
Jeanne is a University of Georgia girl.  Chas is a University of Florida guy. Bulldogs and Gators are not friends on the field or in real life.  When Jeanne was looking for the love of her life she had one stipulation–she did not want to date a University of Florida guy. In fact, she said if you are a Gator don’t even bother.
Obviously, she did not stand by that for very long.

Jeanne you look absolutely stunning in that dress!

      Isn’t Beaux too cute?

For a brief moment Beaux and Chas tolerated us putting a Georgia bandana on him.

But let’s be honest, with a beautiful couple like this the focus did not stay on Beaux for long.

Thank you Jeanne and Chas for sharing your love story with us.  We both felt especially encouraged and blessed to have met you.  Wishing you many long and wonderful years of happiness.  Remember that, “The realities of life bind us, but love, great love, introduces us to a universe of unlimited possibilities.”

    Much Love,

    Kate + Kris
