Alexis & Chad // An Unforgettable Tampa FL Wedding
-
On a rainy Sunday morning in Tampa, we reunited with the stunning & smiling bride, Alexis. The stress of a forecast for all-day rain quickly faded in the presence of Alexis’s warm family and friends. A wedding that will go down in the books for Kris & I as our largest bridal party to date, with 24 bridesmaids & groomsmen, the day was promising to be busy. After a stunning engagement session with us only a few weeks prior, Alexis was calm and collected as we unloaded our gear and began photographing the details of her morning.
In Alexis & Chad’s engagement session post, we made a bold statement that we were destined to photograph these two.
We stand by that statement today, more than ever before. It was nothing short of divine purpose that placed us in each other’s paths & brought us together on that Sunday morning. We were honored to join in the celebration of such a beautiful couple and their love for each other. Their families welcomed us in as long-time friends. We hope we captured the love, warmth, friendship & laughter that we experienced that day – it was nothing short of incredible! Congratulations Alexis and Chad!

Alexis has impeccable taste, proven by her breathtaking wedding gown & TWO pairs of funky & fabulous heels. Love some Poetic License.

We may be going over board with the photos of her shoes, but they are so perfect & original – who could resist?

The smile that makes everyone instantly us fall in love with Alexis ^

We LOVED seeing our engagement photos on her beautiful programs, shown above. A beautiful showcase, if we may say so ourselves!

LOL! ….Here, Alexis is looking right at Kate as she coaches her on how to “dive” through her wedding gown without damaging her hair. Translation: “You want me to do what?” ;) Have we mentioned how you should always expect to laugh when Kate & Kris are in a room together?

After a few last minute touches, Kate stole Alexis away to the upstairs balcony of the church for a few Bridal portraits. Here are two of our favorites…

The kiss that almost wasn’t … And then, oh boy, was it!

After the ceremony, we traveled down to the Tampa Museum of Art for Bridal Party portraits.

Have you ever seen such a good lookin’ group of groomsmen? Chad has a thing for bow ties – we loved how he tied in his fashion (dare we say it?) obsession into their wedding story. Alexis made each one special for the groomsmen. It was a beautiful touch.

Bow ties = ALWAYS a good idea.

A bridal party that knows how to have a good time… Check!

Families are such an important part of the wedding story! We were excited to capture a few moments with the parents who made it all possible.

A few more favorites of Chad & Alexis…

…And we were off to the reception!

And now for a few of our favorites…

Alexis, could you be any more breath taking?

A few of their unique reception details.

Sometimes, something unexpected creates something timeless. We love how the video lights & flashes sparkling all around, lit up their entrance into their reception, shown below.

Alexis & Chad,
Our words of advice for you in this beautiful season of marriage are three fold:
1. Remember the first duty of love is to listen.
2. Forgive quickly
3. Kiss slowly.
Thank you for welcoming us as friends to share in your love story. We look forward to capturing your family as you grow & share many more years with each other!
Much Love,
Kate + Kris
